Open Door Church History

First service in August 3, 2003

After much prayer, on the part of Open Door current members the church was born and began meeting weekly in the pavilion at Candy Hill Campground.

Art, Wendy, Karl and Selena Littman will always have a very special place in our hearts for allowing us the use of their facilities to.

Pastor Smith writes, "Perhaps it could be said of us as it was of our Lord's people years ago, "For the people had a mind to work" Nehemiah 4:6 "And all these blessings shall come on thee," Deuteronomy 28:2

God will bless any church that attempts to win precious souls, for whom Jesus died.

In the 11 years since it's beginning the church has grown much and through God's blessing and a miracle of Christ, one of our church members donated eight acres of some prime land in Clearbrook, Virginia. Our church purchased another 15 acres for a total of 23 acres.

In addition the church in June 2008 had a 100 foot cross erected on the property for the Glory of God and the fervent prayer that more souls will come to know Jesus Christ as personal saviour.

Our future plans are to erect a 500 seat sanctuary on the churches property in Clearbrook. We fervently believe God will make a way.
